ADAPT
ADAPT, a sheltered workshop in Branch County, provides instruction and training in various types of assembly, quality control, sorting, packing, and related manufacturing duties. Participants are compensated for their work. Many of the Work First participants referred to ADAPT have physical, mental, or social limitations and may lack the educational levels that many employers require. Participants really enjoy working at ADAPT.
Branch Area Transit Authority
Branch Area Transit Authority (BATA) provides rides to Job Club and other Work First activities. They also provide transportation for Work First participants to and from work and school after normal hours of operation. BATA's drivers take pride in assuring that the participants arrive on time to their destinations. The BATA staff work to accomodate the ever-changing schedule, and the dedication is appreciated.
