Employability and Life Skills Workshops
The City of Detroit Job Club partners with Detroit's One Stop Service Centers to offer customers workshops on employability and life skills. The workshops are conducted on an as needed basis and serve to supplement training/workshops conducted by City of Detroit Job Club. Attendance is voluntary, however Job Club refers participants to attend on a regular basis. Workshops include topics like: resume writing, job interview skills, maintaining proper appearance, and fiscal responsibility or money management.
Detroit's One Stop Career Service Centers
Detroits One-Stop and Satellite Career Service Centers are designed to meet the employment and training needs of employers and job seekers. Employers can access qualified workers to meet their hiring needs and job seekers can access services that range from self-service job search activities to more intensive assessment, training,and job placement services.
